Who We Are

At English Tea Break, we believe that learning English should be both enjoyable and effective. We are a team of educators with a love for travel, languages, and people. We enjoy exploring other cultures and teaching people about our own.

Some students aim to develop an American accent, while others prefer a British one. We are well-equipped to help you perfect whichever accent you are looking for. Between the two of us, we have taught hundreds students in Asia, Europe, Northern Africa, and South America.

Hi, I'm Jake! I am an American born in California with a background in business and marketing. I'm currently working as a data engineer. I'd be happy to teach you to improve your business English conversation skills. I taught myself French, which helps me to understand the aspects of English that are difficult for speakers of romance languages like French, Spanish, and Italian.

My partner, Naomi, is British from the city of Birmingham, England. She is a professional English language teacher. She was awarded with a professional TEFL certificate and has helped hundreds Asian students to master our tricky language! Her students have said that she has a nice, calm voice — not too fast. She is friendly, encouraging, and makes her students feel comfortable.
